STMicroelectronics is a global semiconductor company, leader in developing and delivering semiconductor solutions across the spectrum of microelectronics applications. Working within ST there is a corporate R&D group called SST that is also dedicated to reaching these goals.
Within SST Corporate R&D itself, the Si-optics & post-silicon Technologies group studies nano-organics, thin-film growth and self-organization as well as molecular modeling and the characterization of multifunctional organic materials. The mission of this group is to explore all the aspects, from basic research to technology development and process integration in the fields of optoelectronics, bioelectronics and organic/polymer electronics. SST’s expertise and research activities will therefore be used to meet the targets of PolyApply integrated project.
STMicroelectronics within PolyApply will act as activities coordinator (with administrative support from VDI/VDE-IT) and in particular will lead the Workpackage 3 (Materials, Devices and Circuits). Furthermore, ST will contribute to Workpackage 1 (Reference Design) and Workpackage 4 (Reliability).
