TU Czech RepublicThe Department of Microelectronics of the Czech technical University in Prague is focusing its specialist activities to three regions. In the region of microsystem and IC design we are dealing with the design, modeling, simulations and measurement of electrical properties of microsystem structures and integrated circuits, including the electrical circuits for sensor signal processing. The software we are predominantly using to support these research and development activities are the CADENCE and CoventorWare (modeling of temperature and mechanical stress distribution in sensor structures). Further we are active in the development of applications of these devices. The scientific research activities are supported by grants and projects (national and international). Right now, within the NATO framework problems are being solved of the simulation and measurement connected to the development of a special micro-sensor for the measurement of microwave radiation. We are also solving particular tasks in the development of sensor systems for medical and environmental applications. In the region of electronic devices research we are doing work in the tasks Device and Process Simulation, Lifetime and Defect Engineering, Ion Irradiation and Power Devices (using the TCAD software). In the range of integrated opto-electronics we are active in the research tasks Preparation and Testing of Planar Waveguides, Analysis, Preparation and Testing of Novel Planar Electro-optical Structures, and Optical Circuits for Measurement and Sensor Applications.>>back |
