The PolyApply User Group will provide the opportunity to participate in defining technical and environmental requirements for low cost organic electronics: the emphasis being on RFID. The User Group will directly influence the development of the technology. The results provided by the User Workgroup will remain proprietary to them and the PolyApply consortium for the duration of the project (to 2007). It will be used to guide technological developments. Priority will be given to users with an application driven incentive to participate in discussions and workshops. Participants are solicited among users in all fields of business with demand for low-cost, high-volume RFID solutions. It is proposed to focus the work of the user group on: - applications enabled by low-cost Polymer Electronic RFID Other topics of interest will develop. A diverse range of applications could be envisaged, e.g. retail, CPG goods, automotive, pharmaceutical, books, postal, and others. Inaugural Meeting The inaugural meeting of the User Group will be held on the occasion of an existing planned PolyApply workshop, will take place on 20th of January 2005 in Taunusstein (Germany).
